Is it really that simple?
Can a door color make you want to buy a home? Well, the answer is yes!
If you are thinking of staying put in your home, then your best bet is to paint that door black! It’s stately. It’s established. It’s your house. The. End.
If you’re thinking of selling, select any color of red and go for it! It make sense, doesn’t it? Target’s logo is red, and we can’t stay away from that store, can we?
No, I’m not moving…
So we recently decided to paint our front door because it was mauve. I think at one point in time it was red, but over the last decade of living here, it’s gotten to be more mauve. I can’t stand mauve. I lived through the 80s when everything was mauve and blue and had ducks on it. Blecht!
So hubs and I asked Diana if she would paint our door red. Her first question was: Are you moving?
Isn’t that hilarious? Moving is not in our immediate plans at all, but nonetheless, we chose Stadium Red. We love it! Here’s some before and after pictures to prove my point.
It looks like primer, but it’s actually a light tan color.
Here’s a mid-painting shot that had me a little worried about our color choice.
AAAAHHHH!! The finished product! Isn’t it gorgeous!!???!?!
And here’s the side-by-side shot of the before and after…
Isn’t that an incredible improvement? I completely recommend painting your front doors. Pretty in Paint is my friend, Diana’s, business, but she is specific to California. If you have a quality painter in your area, use them and get this handled.
An added bonus….
Also, since she was in town, I went ahead and asked if she would help me with my #tiptuesday that I post each week on Instagram. She was game, so here’s how that went down.
Hopefully, you found this helpful!
